Shelter Resource Bank Reception & Tour
On October 3, 2007, Shelter Partnership celebrated its continued success with our 7th Annual Resource Bank Reception and Tour.  This year was especially exciting now that Shelter Partnership owns the warehouse and property, through a donation from the federal government.  Fritz Coleman, NBC4’s weathercaster, was the emcee, and entertainment was provided by Washington Rucker and the Jazz Collection.  Guests included representatives from the City of Bell, the California State Assembly, and Congressional Representatives as well as several Los Angeles City and County agencies, Shelter Partnership Board Members, donors, supporters and representatives from our recipient agencies.  Over 150 people attended this special day, and guests toured the facility, seeing the products that have been donated by major corporations and manufacturers for the purpose of helping homeless people.  Since the project started in 1989, Shelter Partnership has secured $146 million in new goods, and so far we have distributed $133 million to about 200 agencies each year.  We are so appreciative of all our donors and supporters that make this project so successful.   For more information on donating goods, please contact Jennifer Marquez at (213) 943-4577  or jmarquez@shelterpartnership.org.
