Public Policy

To help the community better understand and address the needs of persons who are homeless, Shelter Partnership conducts research and publishes studies, which inform key policy initiatives.
Among our most recent studies include a strategic plan for homeless elder adults, case studies of housing developments that include housing for working families and person who have been homeless, and an evaluation of services available in permanent supportive housing.

For a list of publications, please visit our publications page.

Shelter Partnership also works to educate and motivate local, state and national officials to create effective policy responses and consensus on the issue of homelessness. Toward this end, Shelter Partnership staff answer questions and respond to requests for in-depth information on the homeless population and needs. Shelter Partnership also speaks at meetings and events throughout Southern California, and is an important resource to the media.

Boards & Working Committees

To continue being a voice in the community and in the political arena, Shelter Partnership's Executive Director and Technical Assistance staff stay actively involved in organizations and committees that work towards ending homelessness.
